Youngster Field close to signing new Brentford deal

Brentford are close to agreeing a new three-and-a-half-year contract with teenage left-back Tom Field.

The 19-year-old academy product has recently broken into the first team, featuring in the win over Bristol City and the Bees’ defeat at Leeds.[phone][/phone]

Field made his debut at the end of last season, which led to talks over a new two-year deal during the summer.

Those discussions were shelved, but Field is now poised to sign a contract at Griffin Park until 2020.
