Brentford have not made significant progress in their pursuit of Crystal Palace winger Sullay Kaikai and a deal currently looks unlikely.

The Bees recently made an enquiry about the 22-year-old, who impressed while on loan at Griffin Park last season.

He scored three goals in 18 appearances before he was recalled last January by the then Palace boss Sam Allardyce.

Brentford are looking to further add to their squad following the arrival of Emiliano Marcondes from Nordsjaelland, whose move has been rubber-stamped following the opening of the transfer window.
