Brentford’s Yennaris set for move to China

Brentford are on the verge of selling Nico Yennaris to Chinese Super League club Beijing Sinobo Guoan.

Discussions are at an advanced stage and Yennaris could complete his move to the Far East early next week.

Yennaris has Chinese heritage through his grandparents and is expected to qualify for naturalised citizenship, so would therefore not take up one of the club’s four foreign-player spots.

The 25-year-old, who still has two-and-a-half years left to run on his contract, has played 157 times for the Bees since being signed from Arsenal in 2014, including 20 appearances this season.
