Brentford’s Carvalho out until after international break

Brentford’s Fabio Carvalho will be out until after the November international break, head coach Keith Andrews has confirmed.

The 24-year-old has been missing from the Bees’ past two matchday squads.

Carvalho has scored in both of his first-team appearances this season, against Chelsea in the Premier League and Reading in the Carabao Cup.

“Fabio picked up a knock about 10 days to two weeks ago, so he’s going to be out up until after the international break,” Andrews said.

Brentford have no fresh injury problems ahead of Saturday’s home game against Nottingham Forest, after Wednesday’s Carabao Cup defeat at Sunderland.

“Everybody came through it absolutely fine. A couple of them were playing for the first time in a while,” Andrews added.

Rico Henry, who has hip and quad problems, is also out until after the international break.

Forest boss Oliver Glasner has said Dan Ndoye is a doubt for the trip to the Gtech Community Stadium because of hamstring fatigue, while Nicolo Savona and Igor Jesus remain sidelined.
