West Brom keen on Bees stars Watkins and Henry

West Bromwich Albion are interested in Brentford duo Ollie Watkins and Rico Henry.

Promoted Albion have joined the list of clubs keen on striker Watkins, who scored 26 goals for the Bees last season.

Crystal Palace have long been keen on Watkins and he is also wanted by Aston Villa’s former Brentford boss Dean Smith.

Left-back Henry also caught the eye for Brentford last season and West Brom are showing an interest in him as well.

The Birmingham-born Henry, 23, moved to west London from Walsall in 2016.

He put a series of injury setbacks behind him to make 51 appearances in all competitions last season.

That season ended in disappointment when Brentford missed out on promotion by losing their final two matches of the regular season and then the play-off final against Fulham.

It means the club are expected to receive offers for their star players – but they have made it clear they are under no pressure to sell.
