Brentford thump Spurs in brilliant start to season

Brentford made a fantastic start to the new season, thumping Tottenham in a one-sided London derby.
Keane Lewis-Potter and Vitaly Janelt scored first-half goals and Michael Kayode added a third, before Igor Thiago missed a penalty.
The Bees were on top from the start and went ahead when record signing Ibrahim Sangare, who was superb on his debut, set up Lewis-Potter for a simple finish.
And Janelt doubled the lead by firing in the loose ball after keeper Antonín Kinský was unable to hold Mathias Jensen’s shot.
Kayode scored four minutes into the second half, also by pouncing on a loose ball, this time after Kinský had parried Sangare’s brilliantly-executed hooked shot.
Thiago had a chance to make it four after Rodrigo Bentancur bundled Kevin Schade over in the box, but the striker’s spot-kick hit the post.
