Thiago’s goal helps Brentford beat Forest
Thiago 76′

Igor Thiago found the net as Brentford celebrated their 100th Premier League game at the Gtech Community Stadium with a victory.
A first-half own goal by Nikola Milenkovic opened the scoring, and striker Thiago, who has found goals hard to come by this season, netted to seal the win – his second goal in as many matches.
The Bees, hoping to bounce back following their midweek Carabao Cup exit against Sunderland, survived an early scare when ex-Chelsea forward Liam Delap blazed over the bar from close range.
It took the hosts time to settle after a bright start by Forest.
However, Brentford managed to save themselves from their earlier lack of urgency by going in front in fortuitous circumstances on the half-hour mark.
The luckless Milenkovic, standing at the near post, could only deflect a low cross from the right by Brentford attacker Dango Ouattara past keeper Matz Sels into the net.
Mathias Jensen then struck the bar with a well-taken free kick towards the end of the first half amid an improvement by the Bees.
Brentford’s energy levels dipped after the interval, and Forest spurned opportunities to equalise.
They paid the price when they were eventually caught out on a counter-attack on 76 minutes.
Substitute Jaidon Anthony burst forward down the right side, and his cross found Thiago, who turned the ball home from close range.
