Brentford stars could be offered deals

Key Brentford players could be offered new deals before the end of next month if they impress manager Uwe Rosler.

The contracts of Sam Saunders, Karleigh Osborne, Marcus Bean and Gary Alexander are due to expire in 2012 and their futures are likely to be clearer by the time the transfer window re-opens.

“Those players have a chance to earn themselves a new contract and will be watched very closely in games and in training,” Rosler told West London Sport.

“I’ve also given them an indication of when we want to decide ourselves. In the next couple of months, before we reach the January transfer window, there will be some contract offers on the table and then it’s up to the player to decide.

“I think they’re happy and know they have a chance to make it count here at Brentford. I am looking to reward good performances with contracts, as we did with Richard Lee and others.”

Goalkeeper Lee and his deputy Simon Moore recently had their contracts at Griffin Park extended, as did defender Leon Legge.
