Brentford’s Norgaard could be out for eight weeks

Brentford midfielder Christian Nørgaard will be out for around six to eight weeks after injuring his ankle.

Nørgaard missed Denmark’s win over England due to the injury picked up in the defeat to Preston and is now set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Boss Thomas Frank said: “When one of the main leaders is not on the pitch the others need to step up and take more responsibility.

“I need to see more personality from Mathias Jensen or Josh Da Silva or other players on the pitch.

“In terms of Christian not playing we of course need another player to step into his position.”

Mads Roerslev and Shandon Baptiste will also miss out against Coventry but Rico Henry is back fit.
