Brentford sign German teenager on two-year deal

Brentford have added 17-year-old Raphael Assibey-Mensah to their B squad.

The German midfielder has signed a two-year contract with the Bees, having left Mainz at the end of last season.

Assibey-Mensah, who can play on the left-hand side or as an attacking midfielder, was playing at the Bundesliga side’s Under-17 team before his departure.

He could feature for Brentford B when they play a Liverpool XI in a friendly at Griffin Park next Thursday.
