Brentford planning to cut short Sorensen loan

Brentford are set to recall defender Mads Bech Sorensen from his loan spell at Ligue 1 side Nice.

The 23-year-old has not played for the club since arriving on a season-long loan in the summer.

He made 11 Premier League appearances for the Bees last season and has also made three substitute appearances for the club in the league this campaign before leaving on loan.

Defender Fin Stevens is also set to be recalled from his loan at Swansea City due to a lack of game time and the Bees’ current injuries at right-back, with Aaron Hickey and Kristoffer Ajer still sidelined.

Attacker Halil Dervisoglu is another player who could have his loan cut short by Brentford, having made just six substitute appearances for Championship side Burnley so far this season.
