Brentford midfielder Bidstrup signs new deal and secures loan move

Brentford midfielder Mads Bidstrup has signed a new deal with the club which will run until at least 2024 and has also joined FC Nordsjælland on loan for the season.

The 21-year-old returns to the Danish outfit having spent the second half of the 2021/22 campaign on loan with the Superliga club, playing 13 times.

His new deal with the Bees also includes the option for the club to extend his stay by another two years.

“I am very pleased that we have extended Mads’ contract,” Brentford boss Thomas Frank said.

“He is a player with great potential, and it is up to us and him that it is maximised. He is a player with a lot of strengths that will continue to develop in the coming years.”

Midfielder Ryan Trevitt has also signed a new two-year contract with the option for an additional year after impressing for the club’s B team last season.
