Brentford are hoping to conclude a deal for Czech Republic international Filip Novak before the transfer window closes.
The 27-year-old full-back plays for Danish club FC Midtjylland, who like Brentford are owned by Matthew Benham.
The Bees are making their move for Novak after agreeing fee to sell Maxime Colin to Championship rivals Birmingham City, who have also signed Harlee Dean and Jota.
