Brentford confirm new Long loan deal

Brentford have confirmed they have extended Chris Long’s loan from Everton by a month. 

The 19-year-old forward joined on an initial month’s loan on 20 January and scored his first Bees goal in the 3-1 win against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Brentford manager Mark Warburton told West London Sport at the weekend: “He’s a really talented young player that we’ve watched for a long while now.

“He’s come out of the same successful academy at Everton as Jake Bidwell and Adam Forshaw, and if he can follow in their footsteps he’ll be a very talented player.”
