Brentford boss wants settled back four

Brentford manager Uwe Rosler has admitted he is desperate to field a settled back four.

Bees right-back Shaleum Logan, who spent two months out with a hamstring problem, was carried off after colliding with goalkeeper Richard Lee during Saturday’s defeat at home to leaders Charlton.

Rosler, whose side are ninth in the table, has also had to cope with injuries to defenders Karleigh Osborne, Leon Legge and on-loan Watford centre-back Dale Bennett in an eventful opening three months of the season.

“We’ve had too many changes in the back four,” Rosler told West London Sport.

“When you have Shaleum Logan out for two months, Leon Legge out for two months and now Karleigh Osborne too it becomes difficult. You have a problem when you have to change too many times.

“We’ve been very unlucky with injuries and they haven’t been injuries that suggest there is something wrong with our training. They’ve been impact injuries that would not normally happen.

“All credit then to our team that we’re still top 10 and have been throughout, with only one brief exception. This is why I’m happy with where we are. We’ve come through a very difficult period and done well.”
