Norgaard close to Bees return, says Frank

Brentford hope to have Christian Norgaard back within a fortnight.

The Danish midfielder has been sidelined since suffering an ankle injury against Preston almost two months ago.

But boss Thomas Frank said: “Christian is looking better and better. It’s hopefully less than two weeks before we can have him back in the squad.”

Meanwhile, Brentford will assess Henrik Dalsgaard before Frank names his team for Tuesday’s game at Rotherham.

Dalsgaard is nursing what Frank described as a “minor hip-flexor problem” and was substituted at half-time during Friday’s win over QPR.

The Bees, who won at Barnsley last week, have no other new injury concerns ahead of another trip to South Yorkshire.

“All of the players who weren’t injured are available,” Frank confirmed on Monday.

“Henrik will be assessed today and tomorrow to see if he can play.”
