Goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Ryan Trevitt gave Brentford a 2-1 win over Arsenal in a behind closed doors pre-season friendly at London Colney on Wednesday.

The Bees opened the scoring when Trevitt’s cross was controlled and finished by Mbeumo before Eddie Nketiah equalised for the hosts.

But Thomas Frank’s side were back in front before half-time when Trevitt latched onto Keane Lewis-Potter’s through ball and swept home a strike.

It followed a 1-0 friendly win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Tuesday, also behind closed doors, when Ivan Toney scored the only goal of the game thanks to a Halil Dervisoglu assist.
