Boss Frank hails Benrahma ‘magic’ after Bees victory

Thomas Frank hailed Said Benrahma after the Algerian scored a hat-trick in Brentford’s 5-1 thrashing of Hull.

Benrahma was outstanding as the Bees came from behind to win in fine style at Griffin Park.

“He’s exciting every time he gets the ball because he can create something out of nothing,” said Brentford boss Frank.

“It’s like magic and very few teams in this league have it. When he runs at defences he is terrifying because he can go left or right.”

Benrahma walked away with the match ball after a superb display

Striker Neal Maupay scored his 22nd goal of the season as Brentford tore the Tigers to shreds.

But it was undoubtedly the superb Benrahma, signed from Nice last year who stole the show.

“I’m so happy for him because he’s my close friend,” said Frenchman Maupay.

“It wasn’t easy for him to come here. He didn’t know anything about England or English football.

“I’m really happy for him because he’s an unbelievable player. Having him in our team is great because he creates so much and has got such quality.”
