Bees take second look at trialist as Under-21s lose to Coventry

Brentford gave another chance to Chalfont St. Peter defender Jarvis Edobor as their Under-21s lost 4-2 to Coventry City on Monday.

The 17-year-old, on trial from the Southern League Division One Central side, featured for the second time having played against Crewe last Monday.

A youthful Brentford side went in front early on against Coventry through Jan Holldack after a Kyujon Marsh-Brown pass.

But the home side – who included former Bees winger Stephen Hunt in their line-up – levelled when Kyle Spence nodded in and they hit the post shortly before half-time.

Immediately after the break, George Thomas gave Coventry the lead and 10 minutes later he turned provider for Ben Stevenson to make it 3-1.

Nathan Fox reduced the deficit for Brentford 15 minutes from time but a Thomas penalty completed victory late on.
