Brentford’s Marcondes out ‘long-term’ with injury

Brentford’s Emiliano Marcondes faces a lengthy spell out with damaged ankle ligaments.

The forward, who has only just returned from a four-month absence, was stretchered off at the end of the draw at West Brom.[phone]

It was only his third outing of the season but, in another blow for the player, boss Thomas Frank confirmed he will be out “long-term”.

Frank added: “It’s a long-term thing. We don’t know exactly. It’s months.

“We are not sure exactly of the precise nature of it but It is something with the ligaments in the ankle.”
