Bees snap up defender O’Shaughnessy

Brentford have signed Finland Under-21 defender Daniel O’Shaughnessy on a two-year contract.

The 19-year-old, who recently left French side Metz, has been on trial with the Bees and featured in their recently friendly against Osasuna.

O’Shaughnessy began his career with HJK Helskinki and had a trial with Liverpool prior to joining Metz in 2011.

He was born in Finland but holds dual nationality with the Republic of Ireland.

His signing is subject to international clearance,
