Bees keeper being considered for Ireland call-up

Brentford goalkeeper Jack Bonham is being considered for a Republic of Ireland call-up.

Scouts for the Irish team have been watching Bonham on loan at Bristol Rovers this season and will monitor him again in their League One clash with Oxford on Saturday.

Bonham is statistically one of the best-performing keepers in England so far this season, with 91% of shots saved and five clean sheets in all competitions.

Bonham’s contract at Brentford expires next summer and he is yet to have talks over a new deal.
