Bees denied by 10-man Forest

Nottm Forest 1 Brentford 1

Ten-man Nottingham Forest denied Brentford victory at the City Ground.

Moussa Niakhate was sent off in the second half after standing on the heel of Yoane Wissa.

From the resulting free-kick, Brentford captain Christian Norgaard headed home Mathias Jensen’s delivery for his first goal of the season.

But the lead only lasted seven minutes, with Nicolas Dominguez equalising with a diving, looping header.

Neal Maupay missed a late chance to restore Brentford’s lead when he failed to apply the finish when found inside the penalty area.

The Bees have now gone five Premier League games without a win since a 3-0 triumph at Fulham in the second match of the season.
