Bees confirm signing of striker Grigg
Brentford have confirmed the signing of striker Will Grigg from Walsall on a three-year deal.
Grigg, who turns 22 on Wednesday, was among the leading marksmen in League One last season, hitting 19 goals for the Saddlers, including eight from the penalty spot.
The Northern Ireland international’s contract had expired but Brentford will have to pay compensation to Walsall as Grigg is under 24.
Grigg turned professional with Walsall in the summer of 2009, having made his debut as a scholar during the previous season.
He played for Northern Ireland at Under-19 and Under-21 level before making his senior team debut in a 6-0 defeat against the Netherlands last year.
