Bees boss fumes over disallowed goal
Brentford manager Uwe Rosler admitted Tony Craig’s red card against Carlisle was deserved but was angered by Toumani Diagouraga’s disallowed goal.
Craig saw red for a professional foul and Diagouraga’s late effort was ruled out because of a foul on the goalkeeper by Clayton Donaldson.
Rosler agreed with his captain’s dismissal during the 0-0 draw, but added: “I totally disagree with the [disallowed] goal.
“I have no complaints whatsoever about the red card but I watched the goal on DVD and it was a clear goal – there was no contact.
“The keeper had problems with the sun and didn’t see Clayton coming in from the side. He jumped clear of the goalkeeper.”
Brentford produced a below-par performance and Rosler admitted: “The first half was disappointing.
“We were low on tempo and most of the players were low on confidence.”
