Bees seal signing of defender Barron

Brentford have completed the signing of defender Scott Barron from Millwall.

The 26-year-old, who has agreed a two-year contract, is primarily a left-back but can also play in midfield.

He was targeted after the Bees failed in their attempts to bring Jake Bidwell back to Griffin Park on loan from Everton.

Barron has made 133 appearances for Millwall since joining them from Ipswich Town in 2007.

He becomes the second player this summer to leave the Lions for Brentford, who recently signed Tony Craig.
