QPR v West Brom player ratings

In-form striker Rumarn Burrell scored twice as QPR beat West Bromwich Albion 3-1 at Loftus Road. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player.

Paul Nardi: 8

Has struggled for form this season, but this was Nardi’s best performance for some time. A superb double stop was the highlight as he produced a number of vital saves and played a key part in the win.

Amadou Mbengue: 7

Scatty on the ball at times, but Mbengue adds energy at right-back and Rangers look a better team since he was deployed there.

Jimmy Dunne: 7

Did well at the heart of the defence. A vital block to deny Michael Johnston during a second-half spell in which the hosts were under pressure was an important moment in the game.

Jake Clarke-Salter: 7

Back in the side and put in a steady performance. His left-sided presence gives Rangers a nice balance when he plays.

Rhys Norrington-Davies: 7

QPR’s standout player during a poor start to the game. Was assertive on the left in those early stages and continued to have an impact.

Jonathan Varane: 7

Was having a poor game before heading in the all-important opener – his first Championship goal. Was better in the second half as Rangers battled.

Nicolas Madsen: 8

Delivered an excellent cross for Varane’s goal and his overall performance was again impressive.

Koki Saito: 6

Worked hard but didn’t make much of an impact before going off in the second half.

Ilias Chair: 6

Was just getting into the game when he picked up an injury at the end of the first half and had to go off. Rangers must hope he isn’t facing another spell on the sidelines.

Richard Kone: 8

Burrell has been grabbing the glory, but Kone set up both his strike partner’s goals and offered him fantastic support in attack throughout. An excellent performance and was rightly praised by head coach Julien Stephan.

Rumarn Burrell: 8

Burrell twice scored after great work by Kone (Picture: Rob Avis)

Two close-range finishes made it eight goals in 10 games for the in-form Burrell and nine for the season. He was a constant problem for Albion.

Karamoko Dembele: 6

Lively in spells after coming on at half-time for Chair.
