QPR get the go-ahead for Warren Farm

QPR have announced they have secured planning permission to build the club’s proposed new training ground at Warren Farm.

A development agreement has been signed with Ealing Council and the new facility is scheduled to be open in 2016.

West London Sport revealed in January 2012 that the sports centre near Osterley Park was Rangers’ preferred site for a new training complex, which the club insist will also be available for community use.

Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes said: “We are committed to building the club in the right way and putting in place the foundations for future success.”

Ealing Council leader Cllr Julian Bell said: “Warren Farm is in dire need of redevelopment, so it is fantastic that QPR has committed to such a huge investment into the site.

“QPR’s plans have a strong focus on community involvement and I’m looking forward to seeing it all come together.”
