Derby star Bryson is targeted by QPR

Derby midfielder Craig Bryson is wanted by QPR.

Bryson, 27, scored 16 goals last season and featured against the R’s in the Championship play-off final.

Having secured promotion back to the top flight courtesy of Bobby Zamora’s last-minute goal in that dramatic victory at Wembley, Rangers are keen to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.

And they are one of several clubs interested in Scotland international Bryson, who moved to Derby from Kilmarnock three years ago.

He scored two hat-tricks for the Rams last term, one of them coming against their East Midlands rivals Nottingham Forest.

QPR boss Harry Redknapp wants to sign at least one midfielder this summer and was hoping to land both Bryson and Steve Sidwell.

But he has missed out on Sidwell, who will join Stoke on a two-year deal when his Fulham contract expires at the end of the month.
