Cudicini back at Chelsea as Conte unveils team

Conte has been linked with a host of players

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini has returned to Stamford Bridge as part of new boss Antonio Conte’s backroom staff.

Cudicini – who played for the Blues between 1999 and 2009 – takes up a joint role of assistant to the first-team head coach and club ambassador.

Conte will have three assistant coaches by his side at matches. Steve Holland, who has worked with the Chelsea first team since 2011, continues in his role and is joined by Angelo Alessio and Conte’s younger brother Gianluca.

Paolo Bertelli and Julio Tous join Chris Jones as fitness coaches, having previously held those roles with the Italian national team, while Costantino Coratti becomes the club’s new assistant fitness coach.

Gianluca Spinelli joins as a goalkeeper coach and will be assisted by ex-Blues player Henrique Hilario.
