Watford leading chase for QPR striker

DJ Campbell could be set for a move to Watford.

Reading and several Championship sides have shown some interest in the 30-year-old striker, who has been told he can leave QPR after only one season at Loftus Road.

Campbell, who grew up in East Acton and was released by the R’s as a teenager, is keen to continue living in London.

He returned to Rangers in a £1.25m transfer from Blackpool last summer but was hampered by injury problems and has made only two league starts for the club.

A number of clubs have also considered making an approach for another out-of-favour QPR forward, Rob Hulse, but appear to have cooled their interest.

  • would be better off snaring harry kewel ,to operate left side, rather than the bitzas we have had in the past

  • I agree with Vic Road but would add that DJ Campbell is just another 'nearly man' like Ellington and Iwelumo.
Spare us the wannabe stars and get in the future talents.

  • Pretty sure we don't want him, the Pozzo's have plenty of decent and younger forwards on a quarter of the wages.... all just a phone call away.
