Harry Redknapp insists goalkeeper Rob Green is mentally ready to face Aston Villa today.
Green was quickly replaced by Julio Cesar after making a terrible start to his QPR career.
But an injury to the Brazilian meant Green came on as a substitute against Sunderland in midweek and is set to start this afternoon’s game.
And R’s boss Redknapp said: “He’s fine. He’s a top keeper – one I’ve always admired – and he made a fantastic save the other night when he came on.
“It’s been difficult for him. I had a chat with him about his situation – a situation he didn’t expect to be in when he came here.
“But that’s in the past. He’s in that situation now and the two keepers are just going to have to fight it out for that number one spot.”
