Rangers make their move for Diame

QPR have made a bid for Mohamed Diame and expect to hold talks with the Senegal midfielder.

A clause in his contract means he can leave West Ham for £3.5m, but the east London club are confident he will stay at Upton Park.

Diame was earmarked as a possible capture soon after Harry Redknapp’s appointment, with the Rangers manager keen to sign at least one midfielder when the transfer window opens.

Redknapp has also expressed some interest in Liverpool’s Joe Cole, who played under him at West Ham, but no formal talks have yet taken place.

Meanwhile, young R’s defender Michael Harriman could join Wycombe on loan this week.

  • The Liverpool first half was woeful beyond belief. Too many on high wages who don't care .... Bosingwa being the most obvious £125k per week unbelievable. HR has brought in the triers but they lack the quality of the ones that are there for the easy money ... Rob Green fantastic decision for your career old son soon forgot how we stuck after the Dempsey nightmare !!! It's funny how arrogant the fans became when Fernandez took over ....

  • Qpr are a sh#t club with sh%t fans and they are 100% going to be relegated and be back where they belong in the championship it really winds me up when you have two bob clubs filling the prem qpr, Wigan, reading to name but a few when you have got proper clubs in the championship like Leeds notts forest etc. I hope qpr keep overspending go in to administration so we have not got to see them stinking the prem out for a long long time

  • Money has been spent so well so far hasn't it ... tiny two bob club with a shit stadium !!!

  • I hate encouraging shite talk by the press trying to fill column inches and spark interest, but I am so angry I can't help myself! Firstly no one in their right mind I going to join that relegated shambles! Not if they have any class or ambition! Then everybody is doing it again, everybody can be a big club except west ham! Our "place" so it seems is ah! Cuddly old west ham. Everybody's favourite second team, that is untill they try and win something that is. All the nonsense over theOS is a prime example! How dare west ham gave the best bid how dare they try and join the big boys club! Give it to the spuds as they are a proper big team! UP YOURS! We are finally going places and anybody who doesn't want to join the ride to the promised land is a fool! COYI! We willbe looking to add class in the window not let it go! Plus the board have worked miracles to get us within touching distance of the OS, they are hardly going to risk it all now by not investing wisely to ensure our future!

  • Can not for one minute believe Mo will leave us to go to a second rate club like qpr, anyone with half a brain can see that qpr are going to fail as everything about the club is championship at best ,ground, support, fan base, manager lol.coyi

  • As a reply to above, double your wages deal and a relegation clause, its taht simple, loyalty is finished in football.

  • Difficult choice for him-
QPR and WHU similar clubs and both have good managers.
WHU going much better but QPR have the finances to rebuild and push on.
What is his injury record like?

  • West Ham, a club going places hahahaha, West ham, a bigger club than QPR hahahahaha, 10 times bigger fan base hahahahaha, and of course the reason WHY he would come to us.......MONEY!!!!! Something your "little" club hasn't got!!! Enjoy the Championship when you go down at the end of the season, coz we ARE staying up and you ARE going down UR'sssssssssssssssss
