Striker Sylla leaves QPR on free transfer

QPR: Idrissa Sylla

Idrissa Sylla has completed his move from QPR to Zulte Waregem, rejoining the Belgian club on a free transfer.

The Guinean striker, 28, played for Zulte prior to a move to Anderlecht, who sold him to Rangers in August 2016.

He has been surplus to requirements at Loftus Road for some time, with successive QPR managers omitting him despite a decent goalscoring record.

Sylla scored 17 times for the R’s, having started just 28 league matches during his time in west London.

Rangers tried to offload him during previous transfer windows without success.

Sylla had six months remaining on his contract. His final QPR appearance came in the 3-0 home defeat against Bristol City in August.
