QPR confirm signing of Amos from Spurs

QPR: Luke Amos is on loan from Tottenham

QPR have confirmed the signing of Luke Amos from Tottenham for an undisclosed fee.

West London Sport revealed last month that Rangers would look to sign Amos, 23, on a permanent deal following his season on loan from the north London club.

A deal was recently agreed with Spurs and the midfielder has signed a three-year contract at Loftus Road.

Amos joined QPR just after recovering from a long-term knee injury.

He spent most of the previous season on the sidelines after suffering anterior cruciate damage in an Under-23s match less than a month after making his first-team debut for Spurs.

Amos struggled for fitness and form during much of his time at QPR.

But Rangers manager Mark Warburton rates him highly and believes he has huge potential.

Warburton told the club website:  “I am delighted to get this done and welcome Luke on board.

“Luke got over a nasty knee injury to play 35 games for us last season and we saw him getting stronger and more confident as the campaign progressed.

“I believe he can thrive and really kick on from here.”

Meanwhile, QPR are hoping to complete the signing of striker Lyndon Dykes from Livingston.

And they are continuing attempts to bring back Jordan Hugill, either on loan or as part of any deal with West Ham for the sale of Ebere Eze.
