QPR chase up Fifa over alleged racist abuse

QPR have made a fresh complaint to Fifa about the alleged racist abuse of some of their Under-18s players – after an initial complaint seemingly went missing.

Coach Paul Furlong brought his team off the pitch during a game in Spain against Seville-based side Nervion six weeks ago.

Rangers insist they have given details of the incident to Fifa on three occasions, with a formal complaint submitted on 15 August, and have not received a response.

But the governing body, which initially issued a statement pledging to hold an investigation, say they have not received any information about the matter.

That has prompted club chief executive Lee Hoos to write to Fifa asking for answers.

A complaint was also submitted after the match to the Andalusia Football Federation, which has jurisdiction over clubs in southern Spain and have responded, informing Rangers that the incident is being investigated.
