Boss to speak to Macheda after Twitter rant

Mark Hughes will speak to Federico Macheda after the on-loan Manchester United striker vented his fury on Twitter after being left out of QPR’s squad to face Everton.

Rangers manager Hughes said he was unaware of the comment by the Italian, whose tweet read: “Totally p***** off…this is not what i deserve. F..k all!!!!”

Macheda, 20, has made only three league appearances since arriving at Loftus Road in January.

Hughes said: “You’re assuming it’s about the game. He could have broken his watch or something.

“I’m not aware of this and until I speak to him I can’t say anything. At the moment it’s the first I’ve heard of it.”

Hughes has previously defended midfielder Joey Barton’s controversial posts on Twitter and insisted he would only take action were a player to comment on team affairs.

“I’d rather talk about someone who was involved in the game today, not somebody who was left out,” he added.
