Mackie wants new deal and to see out his career at QPR

Jamie Mackie has reiterated that he wants a new contract at QPR and to spend the rest of his playing career at the club.

The 31-year-old’s current deal expires at the end of the season.

Mackie, who is in his second spell at Loftus Road, said: “I want to be here for as long as I can be. I love playing for QPR.

“I want to play for QPR, not for another club. I’ll hopefully do well for the rest of the season and it can all get sorted out.

“So far, we’ve not spoken. But I want to sign for the club again and stay here for the rest of my career if given the opportunity, but I need to make sure I’m an asset for the club.”

  • You don't very often get a player saying he LOVES playing for Q.P.R .Mackie is Rangers through and through. Cut him and i swear he would bleed blue n white hoops. I hope Holloway see's Jamie Mackie as part of his plans for the future at Q.P.R. If so please lets sign him for what ? Another three years.? I think as he gets older and if we are still in this division, and he can't play every game..He would be priceless just to be around the squad with his love for this club, SO SIGN HIM UP! let him finish his playing days with us .It will be great for Mackie and Queens Park Rangers !
