Holloway: Goss needs to improve

Ian Holloway has admitted Sean Goss’ display in QPR’s defeat at Brentford showed the midfielder still has a lot to learn.

Goss, who had not made a senior appearance prior his January move from Manchester United, started Saturday’s game at Griffin Park.

But the 21-year-old was substituted at half-time after being unable to impose himself.

Manager Holloway explained: “I took Gossy off and unfortunately the young ones aren’t quite playing as well because it’s in a high-tension situation.

“Gossy has to realise how quick things are in there and how sharp things are in there.

“He’s looked fantastic in training but he got caught once or twice.”
