Ian Holloway admitted QPR struggled to find their fluency in their 2-1 defeat at Preston.
Kazenga LuaLua scored a sublime goal to put Rangers ahead but the home side hit back and edged a tight, tactical game at Deepdale.
R’s boss Holloway said: “We thought they’d play a certain way and they didn’t, which led to a cancelling out of each other.”
Holloway was angered by the sending-off of Luke Freeman, apparently for stamping, shortly after Preston’s second goal.
Freeman was shown a second yellow rather than a red card for the offence, meaning QPR are unable to appeal as clubs cannot challenge yellow cards.
“I know Luke Freeman and I don’t think he put any weight on it. He’s tried to ride the tackle and not hurt anybody,” Holloway said.
“Apparently the ref didn’t see it, the linesmen didn’t see it and the fourth official’s made an absolutely outrageous call and said it’s a second yellow.
“If it’s a stamping and it’s a deliberate stamping which he clearly says he saw, why isn’t that a direct red which we might be able to appeal?”

He did stamp and dragged his studs. Hollohead is a complete idiot if he didn't see that. I used to respect him, recently he's proved he's like the rest, a liar in the face of defeat.
