Hoilett looks set to join Warnock at Cardiff

Junior Hoilett looks set to join Neil Warnock at Cardiff City.

Former QPR boss Warnock took over as Cardiff manager this week and is keen to add Hoilett to his squad.

Hoilett, 26, is a free agent, having been without a club since deciding to leave QPR when his contract expired.

He made it clear after the final match of last season that he did not want to stay at Loftus Road and was not interested in signing new deal.

Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was keen to keep him and, with Hoilett having not secured the Premier League move he expected to, Rangers still held out some hope that he would return.

But the Canadian, who spent four years in west London, appears to be close to agreeing a move to Cardiff.

He played under Warnock at QPR during the Yorkshireman’s spell as interim boss prior to Hasselbaink’s appointment last season.
