Sandro ‘hasn’t put a foot wrong’

Ian Holloway said Sandro’s attitude in training this week led to the Brazilian’s inclusion against Norwich.

Sandro came on as a half-time substitute for the injured Jack Robinson – his first league appearance of the season.

Previous Rangers managers have been reluctant to select Sandro, but he was called upon for Holloway’s first match since returning for a second spell in charge at Loftus Road.

And Holloway explained: “He hasn’t put a foot wrong all week. I’m not going to ignore that.”

Rangers are assessing Robinson, who suffered hamstring injury during their 2-1 win.

Joel Lynch moved across from centre-back to replace Robinson at left-back and had an excellent second half.

“I thought Lynchy was absolutely outstanding,” Holloway declared.

“He was dancing down the wing like he was (Alfredo) Di Stefano. It was unbelievable.”
