Hall and Bassong feature in QPR Under-23 game

Grant Hall played for QPR’s development side as they thrashed Crystal Palace 5-0 on Monday afternoon.

Hall got another outing as part of his gradual comeback from a long-term knee problem, while Sean Goss, who recently returned to action after a back injury, also played.

There was another appearance too by Sebastien Bassong, who scored.

Deshane Dalling netted twice and there were also goals for Aramide Oteh and Ilias Chair in the game at Rangers’ Harlington training ground, where the home side netted four times in the space of 20 first-half minutes.

Dalling opened the scoring after just five minutes, pouncing on the rebound after Paul Smyth’s shot had hit the post.

Oteh curled in the second a minute later, Bassong headed in the third and Chair capitalised on a defensive mix-up to make it 4-0.

QPR continued to dominate in the second half and Chair set up Dalling, who rifled in his second and his team’s fifth.

Former Tottenham and Norwich defender Bassong has been training with Rangers while he looks for a new club.
