Ian Holloway admitted his team were well below par in their 4-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest.
The visitors were 2-0 down by half-time and boss Holloway’s introduction of Jamie Mackie and Matt Smith, and later Yeni Ngbakoto, made little difference in the second half.
Rangers, who have never won at the City Ground, looked a shadow of the team which recently enjoyed home victories over high-flying Wolves and Sheffield United.
“I was very surprised that we looked a bit lacklustre rather than clinical and sharp like we have been,” Holloway said.
“We did loads and loads and loads of things wrong and whoever I put out there, whatever we did, it seemed to be one of those days where I can hardly count anyone who’s done well in my team.
“Whoever I put on they didn’t lift us at all, because we looked beat.”
Rangers, who had chances to score in both halves, remain without an away win this season.
But Holloway is pleased with the overall progress he has seen in recent games.
“We’ve been ever so good over the last month. Am I disappointed? Yes. But I have to take a wider view of things,” he said.
“I think we’ve been very good over recent weeks and I think we were one goal off of being alright today.”

After such a fantastic week beating the top two teams at home. It's back down to earth with a bang. Very disappointed with today's performance I think it's time to put RGC in the team he's scoring goals he's keen & he's proud to be with QPR
