Fulham storm to victory at Barnsley

Barnsley 2 Fulham 4

Goals from Scott Malone and Chris Martin – their first for Fulham – secured victory at Oakwell.

The Whites were behind twice, but Lucas Piazon and Sone Aluko scored first-half equalisers before Slavisa Jokanovic’s side came on strong in the second half to see off Barnsley, who had Josh Scowen sent off.

Tykes strikers Marley Watkins and Sam Winnall both went through to score after being set up by Sam Morsy.

But each time, Fulham hit back, with Piazon getting their first equaliser with a left-footed strike and Aluko’s cool finish hauling them level again just before half-time.

Malone put the visitors ahead a minute into the second half with a cross-cum-shot keeper Adam Davies was unable to deal with.

And Malone set up striker Martin, whose 65th-minute goal put Fulham in control.

Barnsley were reduced to 10 men two minutes later when Scowen was red-carded for a challenge on Scott Parker.
