Martin given three-match ban after losing appeal

Chris Martin is to miss three of Fulham’s four remaining Championship games after losing his appeal against his red card against Norwich on Good Friday.

Martin was sent-off for an elbow on Mitchell Dijks late in the first half, with the Whites going on to win the game 3-1.

It means the Scotland international will be suspended for Easter Monday’s visit of Aston Villa, as well as a trip to Huddersfield and the west London derby with Brentford.

He will return for the potentially pivotal final game of the season, away to play-off rivals Sheffield Wednesday, on Sunday 7 May.
