Fulham bounce back with win at Albion

West Brom 1 Fulham 2

Fulham ended their worrying recent run with a tremendous victory at The Hawthorns, where Alex Kacaniklic netted a second-half winner.

Dimitar Berbatov put them ahead before on-loan Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku equalised for West Brom.

After Albion hit the post twice, great work from the excellent Bryan Ruiz set up Kacaniklic for the young Swede’s third goal of the season.

Martin Jol’s side, who had won only one of their previous 12 matches, went in front after a move started and finished by Berbatov.

The Bulgarian sent Askhan Dejagah away down the right and then received the ball back from his team-mate before firing through the legs of keeper Ben Foster.

Albion hit back soon after the interval, the arguably offside Lukaku turning in Billy Jones’ cross.

Lukaku and former Fulham man Zoltan Gera were then denied by the woodwork as the visitors withstood a spell of pressure.

But they regained the lead when Kacaniklic collected Ruiz’s superb through-ball, beat Gareth McAuley and Jones, and then coolly slotted past Foster.

Fulham: Stockdale, Riether, Hangeland, Hughes, Briggs, Dejagah, Sidwell, Karagounis (Rodallega 76), Kacaniklic, Berbatov (Senderos 90), Ruiz.
Subs not used: Somogyi, Baird, Richardson, Kasami, Frei.
