Boss Redknapp close to being sacked by QPR – report

QPR are considering sacking Harry Redknapp, according to The Times.

It is claimed that Redknapp’s position is under threat after three consecutive defeats saw Rangers lose ground in the race for automatic promotion from the Championship.

Amid speculation that the club’s finances and plans for a new stadium mean regaining Premier League status is a must this season, it is suggested that the manager is close to being dismissed.

Michael Laudrup, recently sacked by Swansea, is touted as a possible repacement.

Saturday’s 1-0 loss at Charlton left the R’s seven points behind second-placed Burnley and followed defeats against promotion rivals Derby and Reading.
