Watford tipped to sign Boateng

Derek Boateng is to join Watford on loan from Fulham, according to Ghanasoccernet.com.

The Ghana midfielder, 30, joined the Whites from Dnipro last summer but has struggled to secure a first-team place, making only three Premier League appearances, one of them as a substitute.

Boateng is behind the likes of Scott Parker, Steve Sidwell and Giorgos Karagounis in the pecking order at Craven Cottage, with boss Rene Meulensteen tipped to let him leave on loan.

And the Hornets, currently 15th in the Championship, are reported to be in pole position to sign him.

Meanwhile, Sky are reporting that Fulham’s Bryan Ruiz is in now advanced talks with PSV Eindhoven ahead of an expected move to the Dutch club.
