‘He represents what QPR should be’ – fans react to Faurlin deal

QPR fans on Twitter have given a warm welcome to the news that Alejandro Faurlin has signed a new one-year deal at Loftus Road.

The Argentine midfielder, 27, returned to action towards the end of last term after battling his way back from a third long-term knee injury in as many years.

Faurlin is a popular figure among Rangers supporters – as shown  by the reaction on social media to his contract extension.

That latter sentiment was repeated in many tweets, including this one:

Others speculated on who might get the best out of Faurlin, with new signing Massimo Luongo and the returning Jamie Mackie mentioned.

  • Ale Faurlin is a class player, I'm so pleased the Club has agreed to offer a contract, of course with his knee problem it couldn't be for more than a year, but let's hope he stays fit so allowing a future longer contract. Welcome on board Ale, you must have been through hell over the past years and months, we all look forward to seeing back in action.
More than any other player we've had over the past seasons you're our "Special One".
